Furniture and household items are needed for Samaritas' Independent Living Homes. These homes provide a place for youth transitioning from foster care into adulthood, and they are in need of new and gently used items to maintain a bright and cheery home for the teens. Your donation can make a huge difference in creating a welcoming space and uplifting atmosphere! 

The following furniture is needed. Furniture should be durable and able to last through multiple users.

Lansing: 

1. Pots and Pans (new) 

2. Dishes & Silverware (new or used) 

3. Living Room Set (new or used in good condition) 

2. Dinette Set w/ Two Chairs (new or used in good condition) 

3. Area rugs (new or used in good condition) 

4. End tables (new or used in good condition) 

Flint: 

1. Area rugs  (new or used in good condition) 

2. Curtains  (new or used in good condition) 

3. Bed Pillows (new)

Welcome Kits are needed for foster youth in independent living. These youth are moving into staffed homes as they transition to independence, while still receiving guidance from staff of Samaritas to help them develop the skills they need to thrive in adulthood. 

Needed Items Include: 

twin size sheet sets pillows hygiene kits (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, and toothpaste)
