HAP is partnering with Samaritas to provide stuffed backpacks to 500 children in foster care – but we need the help of our friends and partners to volunteer for a morning of “stuffing” to get the backpacks ready to go and be a blessing to children in care! This will be a fun, large group volunteer event (no heavy lifting – promise!) We have an unusually short time to recruit and need volunteer RSVPs by Tuesday, December 5. Can you join us to support these children?
Date: Wednesday, December 20
Location: The StoreHouse at 4411 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525
Time: 8:00am-10am (first shift; 10-15 needed; preferably folks who can stay until 12); 10am-12pm (second shift)
Details: The first shift will set up the backpacks and school supplies ready to get everything stuffed. The second shift volunteers will be stuffing school supplies into backpacks. Depending on how many volunteers we have available, we may not need everyone the day of, but it would be amazing to have a solid team that we know we can call on – we need YOU!
