Samaritas is observing World Refugee Awareness Day with a meaningful panel discussion to uncover what’s happening with recent refugee arrivals.
We’ll also address myths, misinformation and explain why refugees and other immigrants are good for Michigan.
This free virtual event will go live on Tues., June 20, at 11 a.m.
Emmy-winning journalist Cynthia Canty of Detroit Public Television (DPTV) will serve as the moderator for this critical conversation. Canty is a lifelong resident of metro Detroit and has been on television or radio in Southeast Michigan since 1979. Canty will lead the discussion with the following experts:
