Did you know March 13th is Good Samaritan Day? GET INVOLVED!
Samaritas is calling on volunteer groups, businesses, congregations, and community members across Michigan to “Turn Compassion Into Impact” by assembling Care Kits for New Americans rebuilding their lives in our communities.
Inspired by the Parable of the Good Samaritan, the initiative encourages neighbors to cross boundaries of difference and show mercy in action. Compassion isn’t limited by borders or belonging. A true neighbor is the one who crosses differences to show mercy, even when it costs something. Now through the end of April, volunteer groups are invited to register and pack Care Kits filled with essential household items. These kits will directly support individuals and families in Samaritas’ New Americans program as they establish safe, stable homes.
