Adoption advocates, running fanatics, and families searching for fall fun are encouraged to attend the 8th Annual Forever Home Run presented by The KSG Group at Morgan Stanley. The 5k run/walk is on Sat., Oct. 8, at 9 a.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Bloomfield Hills. Proceeds from the event will help more kids in the foster care system find permanent homes.
“The Forever Home Run really makes a difference in the lives of children who need a forever family,” said Rachel Sykes, Executive Director, Lutheran Adoption Service. “Events like this and the advocacy of churches like Beautiful Savior helped us put 341 families together last year. I can’t think of a more worthwhile cause.”
Families can participate in the 5k run/walk for $35 per adult and $15 per child. On race day, prices will increase to $40 per adult and $20 per child. Adults and children are encouraged to dress up and run in the 1k Dress-up Dash for $15 and $20 on race day. The 1k Dress-up Dash will start after the main event at 10:30 a.m. All Forever Home Run participants will receive a commemorative medal and t-shirt.
